J.J. Watt brings back Charity Classic in 2019

After a one-year hiatus, J.J. Watt’s Charity Classic is back! After responding to questions about the return of the event on Twitter, Watt tweeted, “Well let’s do it then!!!” Moments later, it was officially announced to return to Minute Maid Park on May 4th, 2019, with more details to come.

Bleacher Report covers the JJ Watt Foundation’s hurricane relief efforts

The JJ Watt Foundation’s Hurricane Harvey relief fund topped $20 million in donations Tuesday  after the Houston Texans defensive end initially set a fundraising goal of $200,000.

As of 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, nearly 185,000 different donors had contributed money toward Watt’s adjusted $20 million goal, which was set after the fundraiser reached the $18.5 million benchmark Sunday.

Hurricane Harvey relief fund started by JJ Watt Foundation hits $20 million

The JJ Watt Foundation’s relief fund for Hurricane Harvey victims in Houston has reached $20 million — 100 times more than the NFL star’s original goal.

More than 180,000 donations have been made, mostly for less than $100 each, since Watt started the fund Aug. 28 with a donation of $100,000 and a goal of raising $200,000, according to YouCaring, the company taking the donations.
